I. Annual ABC’s of Heart Failure Conference

February 28, 2009, Hilton Cleveland East

The Annual ABCs of Heart Failure: From Diagnosis to Prognosis Conference,sponsored by CASE School of Medicine and The Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, offers unique insight for the audience regarding basic diagnosis, treatment and care of heart failure patients for the non-specialist, offered in Cleveland, Ohio in February each year,  utilizes cases-based learning for an audience of 200-250 health care providers.  Program content is determined by participant survey and a planning committee representing a collaboration of the institutions listed below:

  • The Cleveland Clinic Foundation
  • MetroHealth Medical Center
  • University Hospitals of Cleveland
  • The Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Administration Hospital
  • The American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines-HF, Ohio Valley Affiliate

II. Heart Failure Management: Established Therapy and New Frontiers

The contemporary management of heart failure is characterized by a combination of evolving new strategies and newer approaches that are based on recent research advances.  This course, offered each year at Amelia Island in July, is designed to provide a review of both the evolving strategies and the newer approaches for physicians and other health care professionals who care for patients with heart failure.  Course faculty will examine issues confronting practicing physicians who are managing patients with suspected or confirmed heart failure and will provide information that will help them in their clinical decision making concerning these patients.
